Geralen Stack-Eaton, Krista Jasper, Kristina Coccia, Paige Cipolloni, and Annie Fogerty are some of the newest elites at Parkettes! Geralen made it to junior international elite in March 2002 and has had a great season! She won the 2002 Maryland Classic, came in 2nd at the Dragon Invitational, and 5th at the Parkette Invitational. Krista impressed many fans by going from level 9 to junior international elite! She has only been doing gymnastics for about 3 years but she already won the Dragon Invitational, finished 2nd at the Parkette Invitational, and qualified to National Championships! Kristina Coccia is known for her power in the sport and can perform some amazing tumbling passes on floor! Kristina finished 5th at zones this year, qualifying her to junior international elite, and finished 24th at the American Classic. Annie won the 2001 Gymfest as a National Elite and moved up to junior international elite this year. She already qualified to Nationals and is hoping for success there as well!
Kristal Uzelac is probably the most well-known Parkette! She is the three time Junior National Champion and recently finished 3rd at the Pacific Alliance Championships. Vanessa Meloche competes for Canada but trains at Parkettes! She is a very accomplished gymnast and her best event is bars where she can perform some incredible skills. Tia Orlando is known for her excellant power and is having an awesome season so far! She won the 2002 Parkette Invitational and finished 2nd at the National Podium Meet. Nicole Harris finished 2nd at the National Gymfest last year and easily won zones in March 2002. Nicole is a hard worker in the gym and is expected by many to go far in her career.
Alex Brockway may be a level 10 now, but she has some bright plans for the future! Alex finished 2nd at the 2002 Maryland Classic and finished in the top 10 at all of her competitions this year. She finished 6th at Level 10 PA States, 5th at Regionals, and 4th at J.O. Nationals. Kim Loew is a great junior international elite with a crowd pleasing floor routine! She has been plagued by injuries in the past but has a lot of big goals on her checklist for the future.
There are a lot of talented level 10's at Parkettes! Alix Croop finished 4th at PA States and was the alternate for J.O. Nationals. Francesca Scala, Morgan Liss, Tiffany Shepard, Katie Riggleman-Thomas, Jennifer Jones, Crisann Calvo, and Kelly Lea are other level 10's who qualified to Regionals and had success there as well! Kelly competed at the J.O. Nationals and plans to continue gymnastics in college next year. Carrie Finely finished 6th at Regionals, qualified to J.O. Nationals, and placed among the top 50 level 10's in the nation. Taniah Wann and Kelly Walck finished in the top 7 at Regionals and qualified to J.O. Nationals as well in the Junior A category.
Those are just some of the high level Parkettes gymnasts. All of the gymnasts have a lot of talent and dedication in gymnastics and have one big thing in common, Parkette Power!
